So when a cow walks over to the brush and spends time rubbing her neck or back, she isn't simply playing with a piece of barn equipment.

5. Fall Is a Good Time to Prepare the Barn for Winter
Fall is already preparation season on most farms.
Farmers check water systems, ventilation, bedding, doors, electrical equipment and cold-weather supplies before freezing temperatures arrive.
